The many faces of Gavin

Here's a couple of quick shots of my little cousin Gavin. He makes the most adorable faces so I tried my hand at capturing a few of them. I just love how candid these photos are. With a few little tricks, just a bit of natural light, and a neutral background I was able to bring these photos to life.

Out of The Archives.

So in the year my blog was  left idle I had kept myself busy taking a ton of  photos. Some  by me, some of me, others of people places and things I came across throughout this time in my life. I figured it'd be fun to piece by piece, post a few of them at a time on my blog. So now  I hope you all can enjoy these moments as much as I enjoyed living them.

Picked a couple flowers on my way home from The Kern River, Spring 2015.

Out in the yard, February 2014.

 My room at 6 pm.

Photos for friends.

Took a few photos for some good friends. They're having a baby and her name will be Scarlett. I figured I'd photograph them as a gift to Little Miss Scarlett. I've never taken anyone's maternity photos before so it was definitely different, but I loved every minute of it.  And I think it's safe to say these soon-to-be parents look like they enjoyed this whole experience as much as I did.

Old Film

Dress: Forever 21  Cardigan: Forever 21   Boots: Target   Socks: Target

Wearing my most favorite sheer baby doll dress with a cute classic cardigan, knitted socks, and ankle boots. I'm really liking the way the edit on these photos came out. The first especially, It has that grainy old film look. I feel like it's a clip right out of a super 8 film. I know it may not do much to show the details in my outfit. but I can appreciate the photos as a whole rather than just a couple shots of some clothes. It just makes blogging more fun when I can present myself the way I wish to be presented, rather than following the instructions step by step right out of the "how to be a better blogger handbook". No, but seriously I feel like in order to make a blog that I myself can appreciate then I have to appreciate myself and my ideas.

Floral

Dress: Vintage Ralph Lauren   Shoes: Vintage Leather Boots

Wearing all vintage today. This dress is everything, from the way it flows in the wind to the way it wraps around the body. I can say I've fallen absolutely in love with it. I can't get over how dressed up it is without any effort at all. I literally have no accessories besides my little silver bracelet and the dress does all the work. The best part is that it cost me only $8. As you all know by now I am a bargain shopper. It's really so much more enjoyable when you don't break the bank for your outfit as appose to spending your whole entire life savings on something that will only be in trend for the next couple months or so. Now with that being said  here is a bit of advice for you all today.
Be Timeless.
You'll never be remembered if you blend into the crowd, stick out like a sore thumb. And its better to be remembered than forgotten.

Trench Coat

Trench Coat: Forever 21  Jeans: Levis  Crop Shirt: Kohl's Shoes: Converse  Bag: Fossil

Went for a classic look today with a Trench Coat, Levis, Converse, Striped Tee, and Red Fossil Bag.
This spring is perfect for wearing a classic trench with some jeans and sneakers. Also with this crazy weather we've been having out here in L.A. I have to be sure my outfit's can keep me warm in the morning and cool once the afternoon sun starts coming around. Now to make sure my outfit wasn't all neutral colors I threw on my absolute favorite Red Fossil Bag. This bag can literally add a pop of color to any outfit and I love how it can be worn with a cute dress and heels for a night out and still look just as good with a pair of jeans and sneakers for more casual days.

Black & White

Dress: Vintage Shoes: Vintage Shirt: H&M

Simple look.
I wore my 90's vintage black dress over a plain white t-shirt for a more casual take on this LBD. To complete my look I wore my vintage black Cathy Jean oxfords. I love how wearing a t-shirt under a dress can easily take it from day to night, especially a dress as revealing as this one. I took these photos using my tripod and set it on self timer with a continuous shot. I'm trying my best to take photos on my own since I no longer have someone to take them for me. What do you guys think?
Your feedback is much appreciated.
