Pretty Little Pixels

White Collared Dress: Old Navy   Black Oxfords: Old Navy   Backpack: Merona

Stumbled upon this wall, and come on how could I not take a few photos in front of it. This wall is like a combination of all 1980's Arcade Games. Its like Pac-Man meets Centipede. Though my outfit looks like I stepped right out of the 1950's, I love how it still seems to perfectly compliment the wall. Then again you can never really go wrong with classic silhouettes or games for that matter. What would of made this day even better is if this arcade mural was on the back wall of a fast food burger joint. That way I'd of been able to get my fix of burgers and gaming.
Mmmm a cheeseburger with a side of Galaga.

Summer In Venice

Top: C/O Dresslink   Jeans: C/O Dresslink   Sunglasses: C/O Dresslink   Backpack: Merona   Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell "Rumble Boot"

So I would first like to start this post off by thanking Global Warming for this overbearingly hot weather. It has been ridiculously hot these past two weeks, so a Sunday trip to the beach seemed like more than a good idea. While strolling through Venice and exploring its street's filled with modern and contemporary designed houses it wasn't very hard to find the perfect backdrop for my outfit shot's. I fell in love with this house's sleekly designed wooden fence and the way the green plants lined along its outer walls contrasted it so effortlessly. I wore my crop top and loose fit distressed jeans from Dresslink. I paired it with my back pack and heeled boots for a beach chic but still casual look. Now these shots were taken some time around 7pm. The sun was just getting ready to settle down and I the same. After a long day of sun and sightseeing I was just about ready to lay in my bed and rest my eyes. It was a Sunday well spent.

Denim In Distress

Backpack: Merona   Sunglasses: c/o Dresslink   Shoes: Chinese Laundry   Top:c/o Dresslink
90's vintage Calvin Klein and GAP denim jeans reworked by me.

Summer has really been starting to kick in these past couple of days. I feel like I've been walking around in a gigantic oven that preheats in the mornings, and by noon is ready to start baking me alive. So It's no wonder that I had the sudden urge to take a pair of scissors to my newly thrift-ed vintage high rise denim jeans. Now I've been working on these shorts for the past couple of days. It turned out to be much more of a thought out process then I had originally intended. I figured I'd just hack off the legs to my hearts desired length and run an emery board a couple times over until I had a few cool looking frays. Then just like that a million little ideas popped into my head. I pulled out the bleach and soaked the Calvins in it with just a bit of water, and bit by bit the bleach ate away at the medium washed denim and created this real pale blue tone. I fell in love. Now with the GAP denim I tried my best at creating a more subtle design, but of course I had to have fun with it. I completely frayed the front of the shorts. I wanted a grungy but still neat look. Now I had to completely dishevel two emery boards to create these beauties but it was worth it. I put together a few accessories as a preview of what I plan to pair these babies with.

Dresslink Wish List

So as you all may have already read I am currently collaborating with Dresslink. I received an email a week or two ago asking if I was willing to review a couple of their products. I agreed and as a little extra I decided I would do a Wish List of a couple of their items I  currently have my eyes on. Now of course these are only a few of their items I have fallen in love with. They have thousands more to choose from but I don't think it'd be possible to fit them all into this post. Trust me you all should seriously take a look at their site it is AMAZING!! Also I have a banner of theirs posted on my blog by my about me with a code for 10% off their site. So please you guys click away. And above each photo are the item names which are also links to these specific items if you guys do decide to take a look.
Now the first item I posted is a cotton backless polka dot dress. I think it is just really adorable and so simple and cute. plus you can never go wrong with polka dots. They are timeless and this dress is as well.  Next is the cutest bathing suit I can honestly say I've laid my eyes on in quite a long time. I love that it has a high waist which flatters all body shapes. It also gives the bathing suit a retro feel. I'd definitely pair it with a pair of high top converse and some cool wayfarer shades for a edgy girly tom boy look. The heart shaped aviators are just plain awesome by default. They are literally the Fem version of cool guy shades and I love the way they reflect and come in cool metallic shades. They would be just perfect for the upcoming summer sun that is about to hit us in California. Now the last item you all may think is completely out of place, but I just had to post it. I mean I for one have yet to see a Denim Parka and since the weather in California is ever changing then it really wouldn't be so strange to have an awesome jacket like this handy. So this is my wish list and I hope you all love my picks. If you guys go ahead and check out Dresslink you will not be disappointed. They not only carry some of the latest fashion and trends but all if not every item is priced under the $10 range. YES believe it  there really does exist a site where you can get awesome clothing pieces at far more than awesome prices.

Collab with Dresslink

So just recently I received an email from the people at Dresslink an online fashion site. They asked if I was interested in reviewing a couple of their clothing items. I said yes because I had never done a collaboration before and I also had visited their site previously and fell in love with all of the really cute pieces of clothing they had. So this wound up being the perfect opportunity. I ended up picking out three items. Now I'm currently just waiting on them to arrive. I cannot wait to share them with you guys. I also added a dresslink banner to the bottom of my blog page. You guys should seriously click on it and check their site out. The amount of cute clothing and accessories feels almost endless.
